BECOM awarded the Cyber Trust Austria Silver Rating

With 133 points in the A rating and a “minimal” risk classification, the independent assessment confirms that information security is actively embedded in daily operations at BECOM and that there is currently no elevated cyber risk.

Information security is a key element of corporate responsibility. We are therefore particularly pleased to have successfully achieved the Cyber Trust Austria Silver Rating.

The Cyber Trust Austria Rating evaluates companies based on essential organizational and technical security measures. As part of the certification process, the following areas were assessed:

Security awareness and employee training
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and access management concepts
Patch management and emergency preparedness
Logging, encryption, and technical security measures

This award highlights the strong emphasis that BECOM places on information and cybersecurity. At the same time, the rating strengthens trust among customers, suppliers, and business partners by confirming the effectiveness of our established security processes.

Furthermore, the certification represents another important milestone in preparing for future regulatory requirements, including the EU’s NIS2 Directive and the Austrian Network and Information Systems Security Act (NISG 2026).

“Information security is not a one-time measure but a continuous process. The Cyber Trust Austria Silver Rating confirms that we are on the right path and motivates us to continuously enhance our security standards,” says the BECOM team.
